How To Cultivate Self—Awareness: The Bridge Between Attention and Emotion
Introduction
In this blog post I am going to be talking self-awareness, the meaning and physiology of self awareness as well as three of the most popular and effective practices to cultivate self-awareness. This is going to be an indepth beginners guide on the basics of self-awareness alchemy and intigration, be sure to stick around till the end, It will be totally worth it.
Whenever I get asked what I think the real secret behind manifestation (as in the use of the Law of assumption) is, I always tell them: it isn’t visualization or emotion but awareness.
Let's say that visualization is the language of the mind and emotion is the language of the body, then awareness is the bridge between both, serving as the observer that notices, directs, and harmonizes them into one coherent state of being. There is a reason why people are adviced to observe their inner state of being as the foundation of all spiritual practices.
Without awareness, visualization becomes idle day-dreaming and all emotions become chaotic. But when awareness is present, a steady, calm, and deliberate order starts to materialize — both the mind and the body will start to speak the same language. That’s when manifestation becomes not just possible, but inevitable.
What Is Self-Awareness?

In simplest of terms, self-awareness is the act of noticing yourself, the act of observing what you think, how you feel, and where your energy moves. It’s consciousness recognizing its own movement within your being.
“Where attention goes, energy flows.” This isn’t a metaphor — it is literal. Wherever you place attention, energy gathers. Pair that with intention and belief and it creates form. I began cultivating awareness not through thought, but through the body — by feeling myself being here. That led me to the simplest and most powerful structure for awareness training: the 7 chakra system. We have all heard about it, I am sure.
Everybody has heard of the 7 chakras, but what nobody seems to talk about is what they actually do to foster self-awareness. Similar to the Silva Method, one can use the chakra system to gather and retain energy in various sections of the body. Over time, this enhances your ability to notice subtle changes in sensation and emotion in these parts of your body.
But first, let us talk about each chakra not from a mystical point of view alone, but also from a biological point of view.
The 7 Chakras as Portals of Awareness
“Credits: Unknown”
The chakras are seven stations of consciousness, each positioned over dense networks of nerves, glands, and organ systems. These are biological hubs where the body concentrates sensation, emotion, and energy regulation. When awareness is directed toward these areas, you aren’t imagining energy — you’re engaging real physiology and its influence on mood, clarity, and perception.
I took the liberty of sharing with you the most effective 7 chakra centered meditation I cound find online, I do not own these so be sure to show the creator some love. Links for each meditation is down below, I do advice you to only do one chakra per day, and you'll be done in a week.
- Root (Muladhara) — “I am.” Stability, grounding, safety.
This chakra aligns with the pelvic floor, coccygeal nerves, and lower spine — regions responsible for balance, survival responses, and adrenal grounding. Awareness here calms the body’s stress circuits and builds a sense of physical presence. Red is the color associated with this chakra. The root chakra extends from the tail bone all the way to the tip of the toes, focusing your attention within this section stimulates the root chakra.
Seed Mantra: LAM.
Affirmation: I am Mountain, I am Strong, I am Steady, I am Stable. Link: Day 1 — Root Chakra Meditation. - Sacral (Svadhisthana) — “I feel.” Creativity, emotion, sensuality.
Located near the sacral plexus, reproductive organs, and parasympathetic emotional centers, this chakra heightens sensitivity to emotion and bodily intuition. Attention here deepens emotional flow without overwhelm. Orange is the color associated with this chakra. The sacral chakra extends from the groin/bladder area all the way up to the diaphgram, focusing your attention within this section stimulates the sacral chakra
Seed Mantra: VAM. Affirmation: I see myself as Water, I am Calm, I am Clear, I see things as they are. Link: Day 2 — Sacral Chakra Meditation. - Solar Plexus (Manipura) — “I act.” Power, identity, will.
This chakra sits over the solar plexus — one of the densest nerve networks in the body — and the pancreas, which regulates metabolic energy. Awareness strengthens will, intentional action, and gut-based clarity, self-esteem, willpower and confidence. Yellow is the color associated with this chakra and it is also known as the fire chakra. The solar plexus chakra covers the lower tosro area from the belly button to the last rib, focusing your attention within this section stimulates the solar plexus chakra.
Seed Mantra: RAM.
Affirmation: I see myself as Fire, I am Confident, I am Passionate, full of Energy.
Link: Day 3 — Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation.
- Heart (Anahata) — “I love.” Compassion, connection, unity.
Positioned around the cardiac plexus, lungs, thymus, and the vagus nerve, this chakra regulates emotional resilience, immunity, and social bonding. Awareness here expands openness and connectedness. Green is the color associated with this chakra and it is also known as the air chakra. The heart chakra extends from last rib on the rib cage all the way to the shoulders and to the tip of the fingers, focusing your attention within this section stimulates the heart chakra
Seed Mantra: YAM.
Affirmation: I see myself as Air, I feel Light, I feel Fresh, I feel Pure.
Link: Day 4 — Heart Chakra Meditation.
- Throat (Vishuddha) — “I express.” Truth, communication, authenticity.
This center covers the cervical plexus, thyroid gland, vocal structures, and vagal pathways that influence breath and communication. Awareness refines expression and internal truth. Blue is the color of this chakra.
Seed Mantra: HAM.
I see myself as the Clear Blue Sky, I am clear, I am Vast, I am Open
Link: Day 5 — Throat Chakra Meditation.
- Third Eye (Ajna) — “I see.” Intuition, imagination, vision.
Linked to the prefrontal cortex, pineal gland, and pituitary system — the brain’s centers for imagery, insight, and self-reflection — this chakra enhances internal vision and intuitive perception.
Seed Mantra: OM.
I see myself as Light, I am Bright, I am Full of Healing Energy.
Link: Day 6 — Third Eye Chakra Meditation.
- Crown (Sahasrara) — “I am one.” Unity, transcendence, pure consciousness.
Associated with whole-brain integration and the networks that generate self-awareness, this chakra opens perception beyond the personal mind into spacious, universal awareness.
Seed Mantra: Silence.
I am Aware of my inner Light, I am Fully Awake in Every Moment.

Each chakra represents a layer of awareness — from physical to emotional to cognitive to transcendent. Meditating upon them trains, just like a muscle, consciousness strengthens to become more self-aware at every layer of your being.
At first it will seem silly, like messing around in the dark, but just like the dark for real and not just the dark behiind your eyelids, the more you spend time in the dark, the more your eyes adjust and therefore the more you start to see, in this case with the minds eye.
With this level of self awareness one is able to sense sounds, tones and colors that only them can see, hear and feel behind closed eyelids and full body inner awareness.
Polar and Non-Polar Awareness

Awareness itself has modes: polar and non-polar.
Polar awareness is focused — zooming in on a single point of consciousness. When you visualize a wish fulfilled, that’s polar awareness: directed, deliberate, and sharp. This is the type of awareness you are using to read these words right now.
Non-polar awareness is expanded. It’s the awareness of space itself — awareness of awareness. When you release focus and feel the field surrounding all objects, you enter non-polar awareness. This would be the blurred background at your peripheral when you are looking at something at the side of your vision.
Combining both brings mastery of self-awareness, focus when creating (polar attention), then dissolve into being (non-polar). This dance allows both creation and surrender to coexist harmoniously.
Visualization shapes energy and emotion charges it. Awareness job is to directs it. If visualization and belief conflict for example, imagining abundance while feeling fear or doubt, awareness detects the discord. The noticing itself begins the alchemy, because awareness transforms through illumination.
This is why awareness is the true backbone of manifestation. It harmonizes mind and heart, bringing coherence to the energy that forms physical reality.
From Polar Awareness to Non-Polar Awareness

Meditating on the seven chakras strengthens polar awareness. Expanding beyond them — into the Earth Star (below Root) and Soul Star (above Crown) chakras — cultivates non-polar awareness.
Here, focus dissolves. You’re not “focusing on your breath” — you are “aware that awareness is happening.” Visualization dissolves into stillness; emotion into peace. From this unmanifest field, manifestation arises effortlessly.
How to Practice Awareness in Motion
- Start with the Body: Sit comfortably, bring awareness to the base of your spine. Chant “LAM” and feel presence settle into the physical.
- Move Up the Chakras: Breathe awareness through each center — sacral, solar, heart, throat, third eye, crown.
- Shift to Non-Polar Awareness: Release focus. Feel the totality of your being as a single field.
- Visualize and Feel: Bring in a gentle visualization. Feel its emotion, but remain the observer of both. Simply notice.
This is awareness in motion — watching creation unfold from within.
The more you practice awareness — both polar and non-polar — the more fluidly you move between thought and feeling, imagination and embodiment. Awareness becomes the invisible hand that guides manifestation naturally.
When you master awareness, you no longer create reality — you allow it to reveal itself, because you are already the awareness that made it.
Summary
- The universe is mental - all came from thought first.
- God is a frequency - imagination is how to tune in.
- Dreams are the purest form of imagination.
- Visualization is the ability to control the creative power.
- Shadowy and static-like visuals work too - resistance is fuel
